REI’s story was born from passion and ambition. The passion and ambition of a young entrepreneur, Ruben Ibgui, partner and associate of IMO Services, our sister company established in Timisoara. The adventure of REI began in 2016, in the moment Ruben decided, driven by his dreams and desire of expansion, to travel to Bucharest in seek of new opportunities and perspectives.
The road ahead was not easy or without challenges, but enthusiasm and determination prevailed. It all started with a small group of 5 people who set up the basis of our first Customer Service department, the French department, who was providing support (in Belgium and France) for two of our clients, 777.be and netbet.fr.
The main focus was on high quality services, provided with care and professionalism, that would stand up on the market, attract more projects and allow a harmonious development. As time was about to prove, the efforts and determination of a handful but talented people didn’t remain unrewarded. The next project to pop up was UK, followed by Italy, Germany and recently Spain.
During the development of the Customer Service department, due to the fact that the standard of quality REI imposed was a high one, the mother company based in London decided to outsource more projects, not only customer service related, and that is how our Software Development department was born.
Already having strong based principles, the Software Development department followed the same evolution path, starting with PHP projects and currently being expanded to IT, Security, ISO, QA, NOC, Game Development etc.
However, all this wouldn’t have been possible without high quality people that are focused, determined and not afraid to swim against the current. We are proud of our REI family as we look towards the future, prepared for new and great challenges. At REI we are in constant care of promoting the value of people, doing our best to create a pleasant, comfortable and stable working environment and in the same time constantly performing high quality services. Simply put, we are in permanent connection with our company’s key values: Care, Performance, Transparency, Balance and Attitude.
We are doing our best in terms of training sessions , personal development, growth programs and improvement plans, in order for our colleagues to have an ascendant professional and personal evolution.
We are starting with the induction courses and the learning of new technologies or language skills, up to development of hard-skills (technical-support) and soft-skills: communication, persuasion, emotional intelligence, leadership, time management. We use informal meetings and brainstorming sessions to develop ideas, projects and team spirit.
From 5 people in 2016 to over 100 in 2019. This is the track REI went through. And we couldn’t be more excited to look towards the future with high hopes and relentless desire for more. As short-term goals could be mentioned new projects for Customer Support department (such as Greek and Dutch languages) and also the expansion of our Software Development department. The number we are looking after in the next 2-3 years is 200-250 members of this beautiful family.
Our story in words may have come to an end, but our company’s mission will always end with “to be continued”.
