A beautiful team is the one where people are happy and valuable. I think that REI Development team is a beautiful one.
I have always had the challenge of obtaining great performances, having alongside me valuable and ambitious people willing to become even better and better.
I always fought to stay close to the people, to the colleagues who have joined us a long time ago, who have developed themselves together with us and with whom we have managed to build a beautiful story with many successes, joy, performance. I stayed among my colleagues, I set my office in the same open space area as them, I am daily or weekly consulting with many of them, I ask, receive and provide ideas, we debate in wide or narrow formats, procedures, solutions. Personally, I think we managed to have one of the most beautiful teams I know, from a personal view and from the stories of my friends or colleagues.
For me, a beautiful team means joy, intelligent, smiling, and open, engaged, determined and ambitious people to become ever better, efficient and performant, smiling and creative even in informal situations. It means valuable people related to professional goals and customers, efficient and smart in processes, programming, management or web design.
I want to thank all my colleagues with whom I feel happy and performing, to Diana, Maria, Ana, Teodora, Andrei, Cezar, Ionut and the whole team. To all over 80 colleagues who are next to us today and tomorrow, now and for a long time now, in informal meetings or in multiple meetings and activities. I built something with them that was hard for me five years ago to imagine.
It’s a story that included evolution and involvement, but also meetings full of happiness and friendly smiles – on Christmas, Halloween, the day of the pancakes and the ice cream day, lemonade, nachos, in many team buildings or to a movie in the city and a beer, or any kind of out-of-office events.
We included many professional successes, from daily ones, small, easier to forget, to big ones or bold goals that we managed to achieve, outdate or rethink.
Sure, just by listening to them, we managed to get to know each other better, to appreciate more, to value our performance more, to feel good at events, to laugh as much as we could. Many have told me that they feel in this team like they are part of a family. Perhaps it sounds too beautiful, but I often think that we have grown great just because we have been united, close, and because we appreciated and respected each other. Certainly, these values define a family.
I am convinced that in 1 or 2 years we will be twice or three times more and we will feel the same, close, appreciative and respectful to each other. We will never get tired of having fun and organizing as many special events with different themes.
Here at REI Development, I’m sure we will always be a performing and smiling team.
